Caddo Lake

Caddo Lake is located in northwest Louisiana, near the border with Texas. It is a large freshwater lake that covers over 26,000 acres and is known for its cypress trees and unique wildlife, including alligators, pelicans, and bald eagles. The lake is popular for fishing, boating, and wildlife watching. It is also a designated wetland area and part of the Caddo Lake National Wildlife Refuge. The lake and surrounding areas offer opportunities for hiking and camping, as well as historical and cultural attractions, such as old steamboat tours and the historic town of Jefferson.
